A DAY OF ATHLETIC SPIRIT AND TEAM BONDING: SPORTS MEET

On Tuesday, February 25, our college conducted its much awaited sports meet as part of the B.Ed. curriculum. The previous semester had focused on team sports like football and cricket, while this semester shifted attention to individual athletic events. The program began promptly at 9:00 AM with a colorful marchpast, led by Sports Secretary Sheba Susan Philip. The three houses proudly paraded with their leaders and flags, adding vibrancy to the event. Our principal delivered the welcome address, and the Chief Guest, Fr. M. Jacob, set the tone for the day with an inspiring speech.

The day's schedule included an array of athletic competitions such as 100m, 200m, and 400m races, relays, long jump, standing jump, shot put, discus, javelin throw, and throwball. I represented the Yellow team, guided by our leader Sincy Maria Sam, and took part in the 200m race and standing jump. Although i didn't  secure any prizes, the experience of competing and being part of the energetic crowd was immensely rewarding. The event was efficiently managed, thanks to the dedicated committees handling logistics like refreshments and first aid. The prize distribution ceremony began at 1:30PM. The entire day was vibrant and filled with enthusiasm and team spirit.

A BELATED VALENTINE'S DAY - CELEBRATING LOVE, FRIENDSHIP, AND CREATIVITY

On February 21, our college union organized a vibrant Valentine's Day celebration, making up for the missed opportunity on February 14 due to a tight academic schedule. The event took place in the General Hall, which was beautifully decorated to reflect the spirit of love and friendship💖.

The highlight of the day was the recreation of romantic movie scenes by students from various departments, bringing fun, laughter, and creativity to the stage. The program also included a letterbox and a sticky note board, where students shared their thoughts, wishes, and feelings-adding a personal and emotional touch to the celebration.

Though the date was delayed, the enthusiasm and support from students and faculty made the day truly special. It was a perfect blend of expression, entertainment, and togetherness-capturing the true essence of Valentine's Day.
