DAY 1
An Exciting Start

The first phase of our school internship program began on July 14, 2025, at St. Mary's Higher Secondary School, Kizhakketheruvu, marking a significant and exciting step in our journey as teacher trainees. A total of 22 teacher trainees from our college reported to the school for practice teaching, including 6 members from the social science department, myself included.
We reached the school on time and completed the morning register sign-in before 9:15 AM. The day began with a warm welcome session led by Rose Mary teacher, followed by important instructions from the Headmaster, Raju Sir. Each trainee was assigned a mentor teacher based on their subject; I was allotted Koshi. K. Babu Sir as my mentor. After the morning prayer there was a NCC program conducted on the school premises, adding to the days vibrancy and co curricular richness.
Although i didn't have a class on the first day, i observed the school environment and routines. It was a smooth and meaningful start to our teaching practice.

A Rainy Day, A Real Lesson
We reached the school before 9:15AM and signed the register as usual. It was a rainy day with continuous downpour, yet the school functioned normally. The day officially began with the morning prayer at 9:45AM. I had my first opportunity to take a class during the second period in 8D, where I taught the topic Nationalism from the unit Towards the Emergence of the National Movement. During the lunch break, I performed lunch duty along with my group members. The day ended with us assisting teachers in student dispersal, and we signed out at 4:15 PM. Teaching my first class was a valuable experience that boosted my confidence.

DAY 4
Two Lessons, One Goal
We reached the school before 9:15 AM and signed in as usual. I had two classes today in 8D one during the first hour and another as a substitution during the fourth. I taught the topics 'Economic Policy and Western Education' and 'Literature and Newspapers' from the unit Towards the Emergence of the National Movement. Both sessions were interactive and gave me more confidence in handling classes. During the lunch break our group handled lunch duty, and in the afternoon, I helped with invigilation for the Vangmayam Bhasha Prathibha exam. We signed out at 4:15 PM marking the end of a productive and engaging day.

DAY 5
A Quiet Day Amidst a Strike
We arrived at school before 9:25 AM and signed in as usual. Due to a student political party strike, only a few students were present, and the school buses did not operate. As a result, there was no morning duty, and my scheduled class in 8D could not be conducted since no students were present. My mentor teacher, Koshi K. Babu Sir, spent the time checking attendance register and discussed with us about the upcoming International Moon Day program, on July 21. There was no lunch duty, and we used the free time to complete our pending tasks. We signed out at evening, ending a quiet but reflective day.
