On September 6, 2024 our team had the privilege of visiting Ashraya charitable trust in Kalayapuram, a shining example of compassion and kindness in action.
We arrived at 10:15 am, and were warmly greeted by the superintendent, in the absence of the founder Shri. Kalayapuram Jose. Superintendent took the time to elaborate on all aspects of the trust, covering everything from their founding principles to their current projects and future plans. We spent quality time with the inmates, listening to their stories and sharing moments of joy and laughter.
We were accompanied by our teachers, Akhil Raj S sir, Shijini teacher, Sheeja teacher, and Vismaya teacher, who joined us on the visit. We arranged a range of cultural programs for the inmates. The cultural performances by our team, which brought smiles to the inmates faces. We gave a small token of our love to the trust. We were warmly hosted by the trust, who treated us to a lovely meal.
Our visit to the Ashraya charitable trust was a truly enriching and heartwarming experience. The trust's dedication to serving others is truly inspiring, and we felt privileged to be a part of it, even if only for a short time. The visit taught us valuable lessons about empathy, kindness, and the importance of giving back to the society.
