Baselios Marthoma Mathews II Training College, Kottarakara, conducted a five day school induction program as part of the curriculum. This was conducted from 24th to 30th October. The school induction program required each student to choose a school for the program. A total of 110 first year students were divided into 20 schools. I selected St. Goretti HSS Punalur for my participation. Through the program, students gained an understanding of the psychological aspects of schools. We learned how to handle classroom environments and manage students. We explored the physical and internal features of schools, classrooms, and students. Our team included 13 members. On the first day, we reached there at 9:30 am. First we met the headmistress and got the register and signed it. The headmistress gave us an introduction to the school.
During this program, we had opportunities for class observation, handling substitution classes, and teaching in classrooms. These experiences helped us understand classroom dynamics, manage students effectively and improve our teaching skills.
