As part of our B.Ed. curriculum, an engaging session on Art and Theoretical Drama Education was conducted at our college on January 23, 2025, from 9:45 AM to 4:30 PM. The event commenced with a welcome address by our Principal, who warmly greeted the students and introduced the guest speaker, Sri. Satheesh G. Nair. A highly accomplished artist, television and radio actor, teacher, writer, and director, he has directed over 70 dramas and has won accolades in mono acting, mime, and other performing arts. His vast experience and expertise made the session highly informative and inspiring.
Sri. Satheesh G. Nair introduced students to the fundamental concepts of drama, emphasizing: the role of body language in conveying emotions, sound modulation techniques for effective communication, and key elements of dramatic expression for impactful performances.
The theoretical discussion was followed by an interactive, hands-on segment where students actively participated in four distinct practical sessions. Each session focused on a specific aspect of drama performance, allowing students to apply the techniques they learned.
The workshop was dynamic and engaging, helping students develop a deeper understanding of dramatic techniques and stage performance. The session concluded at 4:30 PM. It was a memorable experience.
