📚READ TO LEAD: NATIONAL READING DAY IN OUR COLLEGE

On June 19, our college joyfully celebrated National Reading Day to honor P. N. Panicker, the pioneer of Kerala’s reading revolution. The event, organized by the Malayalam Department, was intended to ignite a passion for reading among students.

The program commenced at 2:30 PM with a prayer, and Alfiya served as the anchor for the event. A warm welcome was extended by Akhil Sir, after which Sandra shared insights on the significance of the day. Aleena led everyone in the Reading Day Pledge, and the inaugural address was delivered by Fr. Simon Lukose. whose words left a lasting impression. The event concluded with a sincere vote of thanks offered by Sheeja Miss and Anupama.

One of the main highlights of the celebration was the reading competition, where I was delighted to win the First Prize.

Although the planned quiz competition had to be cancelled due to time constraints, the event ended positively at 3:30 PM, leaving everyone motivated. Kudos to the Malayalam Department for organizing such a purposeful and encouraging celebration of reading.
