From Classroom Assistance to DEO Visit: A Day in School
We reached school before 9:15 AM, completed the morning sign-in, and carried out the assigned morning duty. Some English and Malayalam teacher trainees had their general observation by Arun Sir. My first period was scheduled in 8D, but I did not take the class as my mentor teacher continued with the remaining portion of the Geography chapter. He also distributed the mid-term exam answer papers, discussing the answers in detail. I assisted by writing the key points of each answer on the board for students to copy into their notebooks.
In the afternoon, the Deputy Educational Officer (DEO) visited the school and interacted with students in each class, inquiring about classroom facilities. Some students mentioned that the projectors were not functioning properly. The day concluded with the national anthem at 3:45 PM, followed by sign-out at 4:15 PM. The experience provided valuable insight into post-exam discussions as well as the role of administrative visits in addressing school needs.

Balancing Duties and Learning
Today was a slightly rainy day, and we reached school before 9:15 AM. After signing in, we observed the assigned group efficiently conducting the morning duties. My first-period class with 8D was taken over by my mentor teacher to complete the remaining Geography portion, so I used the time to check and review the students’ Social Science notebooks, ensuring their work was up to date. Although my mentor mentioned the possibility of a substitution period, none came my way.
During lunch break, I was assigned duty in the UP section to maintain discipline, as several teachers were absent. This responsibility gave me valuable experience in managing student behavior outside the classroom. Some Mathematics trainees had observation sessions with their optional teacher in the afternoon, while I continued assisting in maintaining order. The day went smoothly, and despite staff shortages, the school functioned well. We concluded with the national anthem at 3:25 PM, signed out by 4:15 PM, and headed home after a fulfilling day.

The day began with the 9:45 a.m. prayer, followed by a student’s heartfelt speech on the significance of Hiroshima Day, highlighting the devastating impact of nuclear war and the need for peace. The NCC unit organized a special program, and an exhibition featuring posters and informative displays deepened students’ understanding of the event’s historical importance. My scheduled class in 8D during the second hour could not be conducted as my mentor teacher continued the pending portion of the Geography chapter. Meanwhile, several Physical Science teacher trainees underwent their general observation by Riju Sir, offering valuable learning insights.
In the afternoon, I handled a substitution class in 6D, ensuring discipline and engaging students in light discussion. Teacher trainees were also assigned to support various sections during the lunch break due to limited staff presence. The day concluded with the national anthem at 3:25 p.m., followed by sign-out at 4:15 p.m. Overall, it was a meaningful day that balanced commemorative programs with opportunities for reflection and professional growth.

Student identity card photographs were also taken across the school during the morning session.
Throughout the day, many Social Science and Mathematics teacher trainees had their general observations conducted by Nisha Miss, while Physical Science and Natural Science trainees attended their optional observations under their respective subject teachers. My Optional Observation Day
Today, I reached school before 9:15 AM and completed the morning sign-in. It was my optional observation day, and though I felt a little nervous, I was confident about taking my class. The school prayer was held at 9:45 AM, after which I proceeded to 8D for the first hour. I handled the topic Needs and Characteristics of Needs, and the students participated actively in the lesson. The observation was conducted by Sheeja Miss, who gave me both positive and constructive comments after the class. These suggestions will surely help me improve. I felt very happy and satisfied with my performance. During the first hour, the school also conducted a colouring competition, in which five students from my class participated.
In the third hour, a Scout and Guide selection written exam was organised for the 7th standard students. Social Science teacher Koshi Sir led the selection process, and four teacher trainees, including me, assisted in conducting the procedure.
